I was reading it laughing and nodding in agreement as I considered all Maddie’s activities compared to John Paul’s (some of your words were reassuring as I realize the intricacies of his activities are normal!). Newborn life is exhausting, hilarious, and absolutely awesome! Looking forward to to see you three and introducing our cutie pies to eachother!

NICU nurse has to lecture re: rock n play!!! Please don’t let her sleep in it at night! So many babies do and end up with a condition where their neck muscles are tight because their head is always turned one way and need physical therapy to fix it, or a helmet due flat back of the head from being on an incline and not turning their head. Short naps are ok, but they really shouldn’t be in it for more than an hour or two. Our physical therapists see so many babies with neck problems and once they’ve gotten used to sleeping in the rock n play, it’s so hard to break that habit and get them to sleep flat (also know this from babysitting experience!). *steps down off NICU nurse pedastal*. Otherwise, looks like you guys have this parenting thing down pat! Maddie is so lucky!
